Bath & West Community Energy (BWCE) is a not-for-profit community energy business. They tackle climate change and benefit local communities through clean energy generation, energy efficiency measures in homes and support for community projects.
As a Community Energy organisation BWCE attempts to challenge our assumptions about energy by encouraging us as individuals and communities to take greater control over generating clean, local energy and reducing our demand on the energy system. The Community Energy model is radically different from commercial operations. Members and the local community have a say in how things happen, share in the benefits and have a sense of pride and connection with the business outcomes.
BWCE is registered with the Finacial Conduct Authority as a Community Benefit Society and operates across Bath & North East Somerset and parts of Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire nearest Bath.
