On 2nd June 2018, we held an event with local co-operatives at the Friends Meeting House in Bath. Our aim was to find out what needs to be achieved in order for co-operativism to thrive locally. It provided an opportunity for people to:

  • Meet other Bath and North East Somerset cooperatives
  • Share the challenges and opportunities of being a co-operative in Bath and North East Somerset
  • Discuss how co-operativism can be promoted
  • Have lots of discussion and a chance to hear from speakers including:
    • Alex Lawrie, Somerset Cooperative Services
    • Peter Andrews, Bath and West Community Energy
    • William Heath, The Bell community pub and Bath City FC community ownership bid.
    • William House, Keynsham Action Network
    • Richard Daws, Komedia Bath
    • Hilary Sudbury, Co-operative Development Agency
