On 2nd June 2018, we held an event with local co-operatives at the Friends Meeting House in Bath. Our aim was to find out what needs to be achieved in order for co-operativism to thrive locally. It provided an opportunity for people to:
- Meet other Bath and North East Somerset cooperatives
- Share the challenges and opportunities of being a co-operative in Bath and North East Somerset
- Discuss how co-operativism can be promoted
- Have lots of discussion and a chance to hear from speakers including:
- Alex Lawrie, Somerset Cooperative Services
- Peter Andrews, Bath and West Community Energy
- William Heath, The Bell community pub and Bath City FC community ownership bid.
- William House, Keynsham Action Network
- Richard Daws, Komedia Bath
- Hilary Sudbury, Co-operative Development Agency
